The Studio Series provides perfume collectors with a wearable experience of fragrances in-progress, as the artist experiences herself. They sample different moments in the chronology of perfume compositions and provide an opportunity to enjoy the mostly unseen, unsmelled variations perfumes goes through before completion. This reveals a unique olfactive narrative hardly found in large-scale commercial perfumery.
Studio Series 6 contains further iterations of the Chypre project, Crisis Project, Project X, and will premiere a new Rose project. It also contains a 2ml sprayer of Timbre, the first completed perfume stemming from the Wood/Yuzu project. Five samples total.
Timbre, a new experimental eau de toilette, is produced as a limited run, for which subscribers receive purchase priority and special pricing.
Studio Series 5 contains iterations of the Wood/Yuzu project (2 vials), and the Chypre project using real oakmoss (1 vial). It premiered two new projects: first, the Crisis Project that focuses on true Madagascar vanilla beans which are now in their third year of low yields due to climate changes (1 vial); second, Project X, a composition which, in contrast to most of my studio work, focuses on synthetic chemicals (2 vials). SS5 also includes a vial of dilute Amber oil, made from pyrogenic fossilized pine resin as a response to this recent perfume essay by the lovely ladies at The Dry Down.
Future sets include 5 to 10 samples of perfumes in various states of completion. They come artfully packed as an assortment of glass vials and sprayers.
